Spearhead Community Guidelines

Hi, new writers! Be sure to uphold these community guidelines in all of your posts. It’s imperative that you do. If you repeatedly fail to uphold these guidelines, I will have to remove your contribution privileges to the website.

1. Language

Please refrain from using obscenities in your writing. If you are quoting someone that used a profanity, that’s okay.

2. Images

All images you use in your writing need to come from royalty free sites like unsplash. Unless you have taken the image yourself, all images you use must be royalty free.

3. Politics

Please keep from endorsing any political party or candidate on this site. This is also not a platform for any kind of hate speech or extremism.

Topics that are okay: “Why I support gun control” or “Why I do not support gun control”

Topics that are not okay: “Why I support Joe Biden”, “Why I support Donald Trump”, or “Why (x political party) is worse than the other”.

Any racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or xenophobic rhetoric will not be tolerated.

4. Comments

Do not leave hateful comments on other writers’ work. If you disagree with something you may state that civilly.

5. Posts

Your post, once you submit it, will be reviewed by an editor or administrator. This can take between 24-72 hours. Please be patient. Your article will receive suggested changes, which you will need to fix before submitting again. If you refuse to comply with these changes the article will not be published.
