Easy Tomato Spaghetti

Most people love pasta. It’s simple, it’s versatile, and it tastes amazing. In this easy recipe you’ll learn how to make tomato sauce and spaghetti noodles for four.

Begin by dicing three Roma tomatoes, one red/purple onion, and finely chopping two cloves of garlic

Add two tablespoons of olive oil to a saute pan or sauce pan. Turn the stove up to medium heat. Add in the onions and garlic. Cook until slightly soft and yellowish

Add in the tomatoes and cook until soft. Then add salt, pepper, chili powder, and cayenne to taste. I like my sauce extra spicy but not everyone does.

Cook until the liquid starts evaporating. At this point I like to add other vegetables, such as zucchini, peppers, or mushrooms. Today I used green and red peppers.

Fill a saucepan or dutch oven three fourths of the way with water and set on stove to high heat. Wait until it begins to boil, continue cooking the pasta sauce. Lightly salt the water before it boils.

Once the water brings to boil, add in your pasta. I like to use half a box of simple truth organic whole wheat spaghetti. This provides enough for about four people.

Stir until spaghetti is soft. Continue to stir the sauce, until it reduces fully into a thick paste

When pasta is done, strain it into a colander. Then stir into the sauce.

You final sauce and pasta should look like this!
